FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
We are looking for a professional with a technical background in electronics or IT, combining strong attention to detail with a pragmatic, hands-on approach, to join our Service Team as a Field Service Engineer.
The successful candidate will work mainly independently, while always being part of a team.
Key responsibilities
- Perform equipment installations, troubleshooting and predictive maintenance activities to ensure the proper operation of our systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, both remotely via VPN and on site at customer locations across Italy.
- Carry out repairs on equipment received at our in-house laboratory.
- Communicate with customers throughout the technical support process.
- Liaise with the technical support teams of our device manufacturers.
- Install and configure medical software and integrate it into hospital IT networks.
- Accurately complete work reports and dedicated checklists, ensuring that the equipment maintenance database is updated promptly.
- Work closely with the Service, Sales and Back Office teams to optimise operational efficiency and management costs, including the procurement of any spare parts required for equipment repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a technical high school diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
- Knowledge of IT networks and Windows environments.
- Accuracy, a practical mindset and the ability to adapt to different working environments.
- Excellent command of Italian and good knowledge of English (B2 level).
- Availability to travel across Italy, with the possibility of returning home on the same day.
- Previous experience in the medical sector and knowledge of SQL databases and DICOM standards will be considered a plus.
What we offer
Full-time employment under the Italian CCNL Metalmeccanico, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Salary will be discussed during the interview process and determined based on the candidate’s actual experience.
